Albums :: "War of Love" Produced: Virtual Alien. Musicians: Virtual Alien (auto harp, bass guitar, vocals, keyboards) Markus Ineichen (keyboards, octopad, piano, sequencers, samplers), Philip Adamir (accordion, keyboards, bass), John Malkovich (drums, percussions), Rick Mitra (keyboards and bass). Tracks: Quiet Life, For Ever and Never, The Inside Story, Well Red, Uranus and Jupiter, War of Love, and Drizzle. Released in 1995. This album has never been released in the U.S. as the cover and the inside allegedly breached guidelines between decency and pornography. Pure synthetic-pop. The angst of a young adolescent in the throes of a static world. Far too innocent in parts perhaps and too heavier in parts. Stuck between the cold wave and electronic music. Heaven -the innocent part- is a gorgeous piece on the piano, too naive but impeccable nonetheless. |

Tracks: The Way You Make Me Feel (original version), Heart, Devil Inside, The Edge of Love, Inside Story, Fascination, Quick Step Beyond, Be Bop, No Man's Land, Devil's Life, Yesterday's Shadow, On An Axe, The Funeral Party (instrumental), A Bed Time Story, and The Final Song. It had never been released in its entirety until recently. Live and uncut, as it features all the singles and EP versions distributors were too scared to release for fear of inciting a backlash from devil worshippers. Old Nick, the devil in Christian and Jewish belief marks the turning point in the life of a young teenager rebelling against the standard format for the music distribution. Torn between religious feuds, newly discovered sexuality, crossing musical genres, agonising noises and possessed by evil forces. |

The WAR album. "King of the world" the title track was written by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers. Heavy Rock/Punk and indie music. Albums :: "Twist, Fate and Heaven" Produced: Virtual Alien. Musicians: N/A. Tracks: Inside Story (Heaven version), Heaven (88), The Last Time, Quiet Life (88), Drizzle, Well Red (original version), Roads (voice). Virtual Alien penned most of the songs on this album when he was 14 in the late eighties. Too innocent in parts, "Heaven" is a ballad on the piano and the very first song that got him noticed and landed him witrh a record deal. The album is awashed with eighties synthe-pop and cold wave. Inside story was a surprise hit combining techno-pop and jazz on the piano. The third single of the album was "Well Red" a techno-arabic dance track which fared well in the U.S. College charts. The fourth single was "Quiet Life". |
